This exquisite whisky is finished in carefully selected French Cognac casks, adding a new layer of indulgence to its classic, smooth character. The influence of the French oak imparts a profound richness, with beautifully complex notes of dried fruit, nuttiness, and warming spice. On the nose, discover aromas of freshly brewed coffee, prunes in syrup, sweet raisins, and toasted nuts. The palate is soft and mouth-coating, revealing layers of dried fruits, roasted coffee, malt, and a gentle wood spice, balanced by mellow tannins. The finish is long and warming, as hints of dark fruit and spice gradually fade, leaving a lingering sweetness and a subtle nutty richness.
