ODYSEA PDO Kalamata Extra Virgin Olive Oil is a superior category oil hailing directly from the protected designation of origin (PDO) region of Kalamata in Greece. Produced exclusively from hand-picked Koroneiki olives grown in this sun-drenched, mountainous area, the olives are cold-pressed within hours of harvest to preserve their exquisite flavor and nutritional integrity. No heat or chemicals are used in the extraction. This robust oil offers a medium fruitiness with a fresh, grassy aroma and notes of citrus and tomatoes on the vine. Its full-bodied, herbaceous flavour builds slowly, culminating in a pleasant, characteristic peppery aftertaste. It is 100% extra virgin olive oil, high in beneficial monounsaturated fats (70.5g per 100ml). Ideal for drizzling and dipping, it elevates salad dressings, grilled fish, white meats, pasta, and both raw and roasted vegetables.
