Appassimento Millefiori is a rich, full-bodied Italian red wine from the Veneto region, crafted using the traditional appassimento method. This technique of partially drying grapes concentrates their sugars, flavors, and aromatics, yielding a wine of remarkable depth and opulence. It presents a deep ruby-red color with garnet reflections. The nose unfolds with a seductive bouquet of ripe cherries, red raspberries, sun-dried plums, and dried figs, layered with hints of dark chocolate and sweet spice. On the palate, it is opulently full-bodied, warm, and velvety-smooth, offering flavors of stewed red fruits, prune, and licorice mingled with nuances of vanilla and toasted almond. Well-integrated tannins and balanced acidity lead to a long, generous, and spicy finish. Made from a select blend of Corvina and Merlot grapes, with a portion dried before fermentation and aged in American and French oak, it is a versatile companion to aged hard cheeses, game, lamb stew, and grilled red meats. Contains sulphites. Suitable for vegans.
