This exceptional LBV Port is crafted from a complex field blend of over 25 traditional grape varieties, including Touriga Nacional and Touriga Franca, sourced from prized old vines in the Douro Valley's Cima Corgo sub-region. Meticulously produced by foot-treading in stone lagares and aged for four to six years in large, seasoned Portuguese oak vats, it is bottled unfined and unfiltered to preserve its full, authentic character. In the glass, it presents an inky purple hue, leading to an intense and aromatic bouquet of wild blackberries, macerated plums, dark cocoa, spice, and a whisper of fine tobacco. The palate is full-bodied, supremely balanced, and supported by silky tannins, delivering a vibrant core of fresh dark berry and cassis flavors. The finish is powerful, elegant, and remarkably persistent. At 20% ABV, this wine is a perfect companion for strong blue cheeses, dark chocolate, and rich desserts, or as a splendid digestif.
