This Valkyrie pendant is cast in pewter and is based on an original Viking age from Denmark. She is just one design from a number of very similar pendants dating from around the same period in history, a sign that this was a popular style of pendant in the Viking age. The Valkyries (Old Norse for ‘chooser of the slain’) chose fallen warriors from the battlefield to reside in Odin’s hall, Valhalla.It is hand made in Scotland, and comes ready to wear with a length of black waxed cord.Dimensions: 20 mm x 41 mm
